GWA Group recently launched a new edition of the Care Technical Manual to comply with the new AS 1428.1 2009 Australian Standard.

The updated Care Technical Manual covers the complete range of aged care, independent living and disabled homecare products available from Caroma, Fowler, Stylus, Dorf, Irwell, Clark, Hansa, Virtu, Schell and  Sanitron brands.

Products featured in the manual are designed to meet the new AS1428.1 2009 requirements and includes backrests, sole occupancy basins, compliant basins and tapware, blue and grey seats and buttons and ambulant suites within an extensive portfolio range.

The Care Technical Manual has been divided into the following two sections:

  • Independent living products that have been designed to help people remain in their own home longer
  • Australian Standard 1428.1 compliant products that are suitable for installation to comply with AS1428.1-2009 Design for Access and Mobility

The manual is very user friendly, simplifying the specification process for homecare products. It includes all technical information to assist the industry when specifying GWA Kitchens and Bathrooms Care products.

Commenting on the launch of the manual, Care Category Manager at GWA Group, Ms Phoebe Bourke says, “The new edition of the Care Technical Manual will be a useful resource full of essential information for Architects, Designers, Builders, Plumbers and Specifiers with the new Australian Standard AS1428.1 2009."
