The Full Frontal Tile and Stone expo will offer attendees a variety of seminars to attend during the three day event held 20–22 August. Subjects discussed will include:
- Facade tiling
- Adhesives of the future
- Discoloration of natural stone
- Tiling techniques and methods
- What’s happening in the USA
- Key aspects of sustainability
- Movement joints
- External paving
- Efflorescence
- Fixing big tiles
- Waterproofing
- Processing stone
- Optical hazing
- Recognizing and avoiding failures
- Slip resistance
Debates will be held by The Australian Tile Council and the Australian Stone Advisory Association, that address key industry issues such as tackle imports, exports, sales, market potential and the challenges facing industry. A number of industry representatives from companies around the world, including Confindustria Ceramica and the Tile Council of North America, will be conducting presentations. The seminars will take place in the seminar room located in Hall 4 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Attending the seminars is free of charge for industry professionals, and The Royal Australian Institute of Architects and other key industry organisations will be offering Continuing Professional Development points. Members of the public will be charges an entrance fee on Saturday August 22. Registration opens in February.
The full seminar programs can be downloaded from the Full Frontal Expo website. Details of 'Formal Training Sessions' for specifiers and industry will be announced on March 31. Coles Myer Gift Cards will be randomly handed out to visitors and seminar attendees during all three days of the event.
