Australia’s only dedicated tile and stone exhibition, the Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo , will be held in four weeks at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, on 20 – 22 August.
Trade visitors wishing to attend the Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo can still book online for free registration to the Expo, which will showcase the latest products, methods and standards for tile and stone materials in Australia.
Over seventy local and international exhibitors are already confirmed for the Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo, which is the only event of its kind to provide all of the latest updates and products for the industry under the one roof.
Special features at this year’s Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo will include:
- Pool tiling technique demonstrations by Leading Italian glass mosaic manufacturer Trend Australasia and Mapei Australia, addressing adhesive selection, surface preparation, tiling, cutting and grouting techniques
- A Permeable Paving Systems exhibit from Boral that will demonstrate the benefits of using permeable paving to capture rainfall and re-distribute water. More than 18 million square metres if permeable paving was laid in Germany in 2008
- Stone carving and restoration exhibit by Heritage Stone Restorations, who recently completed the restoration of St Francis Xavier Cathedral in Adelaide
- Scape Bar & Grill demonstrating hospitality environment tiling treatments and providing a place for relaxation and networking during the show
- A tiling skills competition testing the skills of talented tile fixers who will be racing against the clock.
The Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo will also feature a full program of free industry seminars, places for which are booking up fast. Seminars will take place over the three days of the Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo, with more than twenty leading speakers from eight countries covering topics including: Slip resistance: Sustainable design and specification practices; Best practices in stone and tile maintenance; Life Cycle Inventory – the foundation stone for sustainable building and How to waterproof tiled roof decks and balconies.
The formal training component of this year’s Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo will include three formal training sessions, on the topics of: access to premises standard and its effect on the tile and stone industries; enlightened slip resistance specification practices; and design and specifications of tiled high rise facades in hot climate.
For architects attending the Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo, the seminars and formal training sessions have been recognised by the Australian Institute of Architects. Every hour of attendance at a Full Frontal Tile and Stone Expo seminar will accrue one informal Continuing Professional Development (CPD) point, and every hour of attendance at the formal training sessions will accrue one formal CPD point.
