Uniform cross section mattress from Foreshore Protection has no filter points, but instead, the two layers of the fabric are held together by diagonal restraining ties. The diagonal restraining ties are spaced at regular intervals which help in inflating the fabric to a constant thickness. This provides a fibre-reinforced concrete slab by forming an impermeable lining.
Uniform cross section mattress has a smooth finish and is ideal for situation where low manning's coefficient or impermeability is a necessary requirement. Uniform cross section mattress can be used in dams, holding reservoirs, boat ramps and channels. The mattress also allows traffic without causing any damage to the integrity of the system. The fabric also helps in preventing the water flow without the necessity for an impermeable liner.
Growth matt from Foreshore Protection is designed to meet the natural and aesthetically appealing medium duty scour protection system. Growth matt is a concrete lattice which has loose woven fabric between the concrete tubes. Grass is then allowed to grow through this large void which helps in establishing a binding root system under the mat. A loose grid of fine polyester fibres present between the concrete filled tubes further offers protection to the growth and the soil. Growth matt is ideal for low velocity floodways, diversion channels, perimeter drains and sand dune stabilization.
