Captivated by the floor in the latest box office smash movie Burn After Reading is George Clooney’s character Harry Pfarrer.
Walking into the kitchen, he exclaims “I like your floor”; moments later, still fixated on it, he asks the party host Katie (Tilda Swinton) “Is it Forbo?”.
Forbo Flooring can now add a touch of Hollywood to their list of accolades and awards. Whilst Forbo Flooring’s USA operations provided some flooring for the film Burn After Reading, the company reference in the script was a surprise.
Written and directed by the Oscar winning Cohen brothers, the film also stars Brad Pitt, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand. It made an estimated $19.5 million in its opening week in the US and became the box office number one. The film has also done exceptionally well in Australia.
Burn After Reading is doing well in many countries, giving international exposure to the Forbo brand name.
