Forbo will be showcasing its next generation in eco-friendly, design-led, high performance flooring, the new Marmoleum Global 2 collection, at designEX in April this year (stand G32).
With 116 colours, 57 of which are new, as well as the new range Marmoleum Piano, the collection has been significantly extended. There is also the addition of the embossed, light-reflective finish Marmoleum Crocodile that adds a distinctive flair to the range.
However the real breakthrough in the Global 2 collection is in performance. Thanks to the new TopShield finish, Marmoleum has been independently proven to outperform other resilient floor-coverings in having the least dirt pick-up, considerably reducing the need for cleaning and maintenance. This also means lower floor care costs and overall improved appearance of floors. And all with no need for an initial sealer or polish.
The development of TopShield places linoleum in a completely new light for specifiers, with Marmoleum Global 2 not only being an environmentally friendly, closed-loop choice with bacteriostatic qualities, but with its quantum leap in ease of maintenance and appearance retention, it is complete in colour, design and performance.
Also new to the Global 2 collection are extensions to the invisible welding system, including (as standard) multi-coloured welds for Real, Vivace and Dual ranges as well as a new photo luminescent or glow-in-the-dark Glo-Weld.
Due to the longevity of Marmoleum, 24 colours in the Real range are guaranteed to be available until the end of 2012, while the demand for tiles sees the incorporation of two tile sizes for all 30 colours of the Marmoleum Dual range: 33.3 x 33.3 cm and 50 x 50 cm.
Also in response to increased acoustic requirements new Marmoleum decibel has the best acoustic performance of any linoleum product in the world, with an impact sound reduction of 17dB.
