Forbo enchancements
Forbo Flooring has released the new Marmoleum Global 2 collection with Topshield, an innovative, water-based finish that is said to be the biggest breakthrough in linoleum for many years.
A two-layer, high performance finish, Topshield is made from a tough, cross-linked primer and an ultimate scuff resistant top layer which gives Marmoleum Global 2 the edge in appearance retention.
Comparable to a polyurethane finish, independent tests show that Marmoleum Global 2 with Topshield outperforms other resilient floor coverings, including PU vinyls, in having the least dirt pick-up, considerably reducing the need for cleaning and maintenance and resulting in lower floorcare costs and overall improved floor appearance.
New to the Marmoleum Global 2 collection is a subtle, non-marbled design called piano. Created by Forbo’s design team using the new Forbo Colour Space (FCS), it has discreet, small specks through its solid-toned depth.
Specialist performance ranges also introduced with the Global 2 collection include Marmoleum decibel which has the best acoustic performance of any linoleum product anywhere, with an impact sound reduction of 17 decibels; Marmoleum acoustic, built up in two layers which achieves an impact sound reduction of at least 14 decibels and Marmoleum ohmex with enhanced electrical properties that reduce electrical resistance.
New also is the visible seam GloWeld welding system, a photo luminescent weld that stores light during the day to emit it when rooms are dark, making it ideal as a visual guide for safety and for creating unique design options.
The existing invisible seam patented multi-coloured welding system has been extended to include all Real, Vivace and Dual ranges.
