Forbo Flooring - start work on your Fly Forbo entry

A trip to Europe and entry into 100% Design are part of the major prize offered to the winner of this year's prestigious Fly Forbo & Fly to Europe competition.
Entries are now being invited for this competition which recognises outstanding use of Forbo product in an innovative design.
"This will be the fifth year that we have staged this competition and we have been so impressed by the imaginative and creative use of our broad range of Forbo products in the past," said Forbo Managing Director, Wayne Donovan.
"The competition was so intense last year that for the first time we extended the prizes to include an overseas trip for a runner up; the projects were high in visual impact, sustainable design and performance. I very much look forward to seeing our collections yet again being used at the forefront of design in Australia."
The prize also includes an opportunity to meet the award winning team at Forbo's Design Studios in Holland as well as entry into several exceptional architectural projects across Europe.
Last year, Wei Shun Lee and Ann-Louise Meeking from Cox Rayner Architects experienced this 12-night trip to Europe.
"London was culturally stimulating; being there during Design Week was inspiring and allowed us to reinvigorate the senses. Getting an insight at the Forbo Factory and the Design Studios helped us to appreciate the intricacies and innovation of the Forbo products and gain an understanding of the respect the company has within the community. We had a sneak preview of the upcoming product releases and are excited by their creative possibilities," said Wei Shun Lee, who is Interiors Manager at the firm.
Judges will determine the winner by selecting the project that offers the most stylish and innovative use of the wide selection of Forbo products such as Marmoleum, Allura, Eternal, Smaragd, Step and Sarlon.
Applicants must also enter the Interior Design Awards (IDA) to be eligible for the Fly Forbo to Europe competition. Any IDA entries that contain a Forbo product can enter the Fly Forbo award.
The deadline for entries, which are being accepted now, is Friday 15 February 2008. Forbo is a one-stop-shop for all healthcare flooring needs, and offers a professional consultative service for healthcare facility managers, developers and specifiers.
