Eternal vinyl
Envisaging what project vinyl has to offer commercial projects has never exactly been inspirational, until now with the launch of the new ETERNAL Project Vinyl Collection from Forbo Flooring .
ETERNAL stands alone as a Project Vinyl that combines top performance, as a result of pioneering manufacturing technology, with outstanding style by offering wide ranging colour options, a variety of innovative designs and surface finishes with the impact, appeal and warmth more commonly associated with residential flooring.
Banishing forever the predictable and staid image of Project Vinyl flooring, ETERNAL enables designers to create an exciting look while still delivering a practical, hard-wearing and cost effective flooring.
Two inspirational ranges offer over 50 colourways, from moody neutrals and fashionable pastels to striking, rich colours and a diversity of realistic woods.
ETERNAL form encompasses three designs – Sparkle, Starchip and Magna. Sparkle, a truly innovative design, features tiny metallic flakes that reflect light and catch the imagination. Starchip stands out with a sprinkle of pearlescent, colour-matched chips which add character and dimension, whilst Magna offers a timeless appeal through subtle all-over design and an embossed finish.
ETERNAL Wood presents intriguingly realistic finishes such as traditional notched nail, country style planks and the more unusual tropical planks, an unsurpassable choice of colours and all without the traditional compromise in wear and maintenance.
The growing trend towards softening the ‘institutional’ look and feel of public and many corporate buildings to make them more welcoming, comfortable and stimulating for their users will be well served by the new ETERNAL collection.
Demand has grown for softer, warmer and more inviting interiors with increasing recognition of the benefits associated with home-like surroundings for residents of healthcare and aged institutions, attendees of educational facilities and workers in office environments.
Forbo has responded with a range that not only overcomes the sterile and impersonal look often associated with Project Vinyl but also introduces a flooring option that is more than a match for such heavy traffic environments.
The new manufacturing technology offers additional and important benefits. For example, the new surface structure technology means the collection has an R10 rating for slip.
Multiple layers, which include a high-pressure 100% PVC wearlayer and compressed glassfleece carrier, provide outstanding performance including superior appearance retention, wear resistance and dimensional stability.
The latest calander technology used to create the high density, flexible backing layer provides low-static residual indentation resistance and the unique comfort layer gives ETERNAL increased sound absorbing properties and makes it softer underfoot, all contributing to a more comfortable work environment.
