Flexi Products offer Foldcore ceiling panels
Foldcore ceiling panels, available from Flexi Products , are space saving patent pending products.
A layer of Foldcore with a backing sheet of cardboard when opened out has the following advantages over ordinary ceiling boards.
- Foldcore ceiling sheets eliminates all centre supporting timbers, and panels need nailing on the outside edges only, saving intermediate ceiling joists, hanger for theses and battens under these
- Foldcore ceiling panels can virtually nail straight onto roof trusses if spaced correctly or onto ceiling battens at edges only if used
- Eliminate stopping of all nail holes in centres of sheet
- No sagging ceiling will be evident
- Insulation and acoustical value is built into ceiling
- Foldcore is collapsible for storage and transit and would take up little more room than ceiling linings themselves
- Foldcore could be fixed to any ceiling sheets in manufacturers’ factory automatically and at little additional cost
- Greater spans for ceiling grid panels could be achieved with a Foldcore backing to these, e.g. instead of 600mm (2’) a 900mm (3’) or 1200mm (4’) span would be possible
Some possible applications include the following:
- Ceiling panels
- Wall panels
- Door panels
- Cupboard door panels
- Transport containers
- Carton infills
- Shelving
The end uses of Foldcore are only limited by the users’ imagination. All the foregoing products have two main advantages in common to their manufacturers and users: storage space and freight space.
