Available from Insulation Solutions (now under the Fletcher Insulation umbrella), the Permastop 875 noise control blanket guards against noise reverberation in stadiums, swimming pools and musical events. A composite product made up of 75mm glass wool insulation blanket and film of newly developed VapaStop foil laminate Permastop can achieve a NRC of 0.90.
This level of sound absorption not only reduces noise reverberation, it also assists in improving the clarity of public address systems within the stadium environment. Unlike traditional reverberation control products which have a perforated foil facing, Permastop 875 does not require an additional facing of foil laminate to protect against condensation, saving both time and money during construction. The VapaStop foil laminate acts as a noise shock absorber while the glass wool blanket not only helps reduce noise transfer from the inside of the stadium to the outside, it works just as effectively in reducing noise entering the building from the outside. Also, the blanket acts as an efficient thermal insulation barrier, R2.0, reducing heat loss and gain as well as lowering energy consumption from air conditioning and heating systems. Permastop is available in a range of roll widths and lengths, and non-standard sizes can be produced to order. The foil laminate facing has a 150mm overlap along one side to ensure an effective seal is achieved when installed.
