Fisher & Paykel Appliances offer kitchen appliances
Following a successful launch in Sydney, Fisher & Paykel Appliances have taken their kitchen exhibit known as ‘Ironside’ on the road for a national tour that is creating interest at major design events.
Ironside is an imaginative showcase of Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ new premium range of Izona kitchen appliances within a converted shipping container, which has been re-configured and custom-fitted by the Sydney architect, Tony Camilleri.
Last weekend Ironside took centre stage at the entrance to Space Furniture, Fortitude Valley at Brisbane in Design, which was attended by over 4000 architecture and design professionals.
This followed Melbourne in Design last month at which the Ironside display made an impact in front of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art and attracted an interested crowd from the design community.
“Not only does Ironside beautifully display the Izona CookSurface, CoolDrawer, VentSurface and other Fisher & Paykel kitchen appliances, it makes a stunning architectural design feature in its own right,” says Peter Russell, National Marketing Manager, Fisher & Paykel.
“We believe it is the only container-conversion of its type in the world that converts to twice its volume by the unique ‘roll-out’ mechanism.”
“It demonstrates Fisher & Paykel.s ongoing commitment to innovation and thinking outside-the-square in relation to design, function and aesthetics,” said Peter Russell.
Brisbane’s architects and designers had a further opportunity to view Ironside and the Izona range at Harvey Norman Commercial, Burnside Road, Stapylton.
“’Ironside’ is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to target the architectural and design fraternity, foodies and other kitchen-design influencers ahead of our regular consumer,” said Peter Russell.
“The response to the project has been universally positive and we are delighted they are embracing this ground breaking design concept, and the revolutionary appliances,” said Peter Russell.
