Everbright Roofing System gets Margaret River covered
Everbright Roofing System provided a unique roofing solution for several commercial offices and residential units in Margaret River, a vibrant, fast growing community in Western Australia.
The brief given was for a modern curved roof, which could free span the required distance without any intermediate supports. The idea was to give a seamless and continuous line with no steel framework spoiling the visual effect.
Everbright E610 Opal was installed above two courtyards over several commercial offices, and residential units in Margaret River. The E610 roofing system was supplied curved, incorporating Locking System 1.
Everbright E610 is a unique new 74mm thick polycarbonate roofing system. Lightweight product that can free span up to 12 metres for curved applications and up to 4.38 metres in the flat plane, the panel is at the top end of the spectrum and is fully trafficable.
E610 Integral locking bars hide the aspect of where a panel starts and where it finishes, so it becomes a continuous system giving a uniformed and conformed design feature.
By employing Everbright E610, the company was able to achieve an architectural flare, which was not possible with any other polycarbonate system available on the market. According to Everbright Roofing Systems, since less structure is required, less shadows are created, and as such the natural light translucency is at its full potential.
On this project, E610 was pre curved, and in one complete 4-metre length. The panels were also supplied in 600mm configuration, and simply clip together. This made the installation process rapid, as the product only required to be joined every 600mm on site.
This project consisted of two roofs with both areas measuring 4 metres span/projection x 24 metres wide.
