erosion control technology, recently carried out a drainage work project in Inverell, NSW. The concrete filled mattress system from Erosion Protection Systems was used to protect the sides of channels, with reinforced concrete to be poured on the base at a later stage.
These quality double-layered revetment mattress fabrics are manufactured in Australia. The revetment system involves the injection of a high strength grout between the layers of a fabric formwork. This revetment system can be installed under water with the help of divers, and the speed and ease of installation provides significant savings over traditional methods of erosion control, including rock mattresses and reinforced concrete.
The revetment mattress is currently being used by a number of local councils to provide protection to drainage structures, culverts and bridge abutments.
