VersiTank Plus 840 - integrated stormwater management system
Elmich Australia Pty Ltd , a leading manufacturer and distributor of landscape engineering products, has introduced the VersiTank Plus 840 as a capillary irrigation watering system.
VersiTank is a high strength, interlocking plastic, modular sub-surface stormwater management infiltration or storage tank. With this series of allied and integrated stormwater management products, Elmich can help its customers to manage excessive rainwater from roofs and other impermeable surfaces such as parking areas, driveways, playgrounds and sports areas. VersiTank Plus 840 can cater for all volume requirements – from individual houses to industrial developments.
The National Park Board in Singapore, in conjunction with Elmich Australia Pty Ltd, has recently utilised VersiTank Plus 840 to form part of an integrated stormwater management system under highway overpasses.
Surface water from road overpasses channels into a filter system where debris, oil and particulate matter is removed before passing into the interlocked VersiTank Plus 840 units below ground.
Elmich envelops the sides and bottom of the VersiTank Plus 840 integrated stormwater management tank with Evalon, an EVA/PVC high strength waterproofing membrane. Geotextile, positioned on the stormwater management tanks prevents soil and debris from entering the stormwater management tanks.
The cost effective water storage and capillary watering system ensures that stormwater from road surfaces is captured, filtered, stored and via capillary action, maintains vigorous plant growth, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing environment below highway overpasses.
