Sun-Mar Centrex composting toilets from Ecoflo Water Management

With up to 35,000 litres of potential drinking water wasted per household per year by simply flushing the toilet, Queensland company Ecoflo Water Management is urging Australians to go with the flo and install a composting toilet.
Ecoflo Water Management is Australia’s sole dealer of the Sun-Mar Centrex series of water-saving, split-system composting toilets.
Managing Director, Stuart Elliott said the Centrex range of composting toilets was ideal, because unlike many other composting toilets the composting chamber did not have to be located directly below the pedestal.
“This makes the Centrex an easy-to-install item that caters to the needs and design of the home,” he said.
“The design of the pedestal is such that the contents of the composting chamber cannot be seen. If you don’t have space under the floor you can simply install the composting chamber outside the house, provided it is situated lower than the pedestal.”
“The composting drum uses a tumbling action to aerate and mix the contents and is completely odourless which we know is one of the most important aspects customers are looking for.”
Stuart Elliott said the Sun-Mar Centrex range had a modern design similar to the look of the water wasting toilets with their cistern hidden behind the wall.
“The Centrex systems are a really attractive alternative to conventional toilets because of their design and their ability to allow several toilets to be connected to one composting unit,” he said.
“The fact they can save you thousands of litres of water per year is another reason why the Centrex range is really attractive, especially with a lot of Australia still suffering from harsh drought conditions.”
