Ecoflex recognised

Ecoflex Australia has met the requirements of the Good Environmental Choice Australia program run by the Australian Environmental Labelling Association for its E Wall, E Pave, E Pod, E Raft and E 200 products.

Ecoflex Australia is a technology development company that has patented a means of using recycled tyres. Ecoflex Systems are used to convert waste tyres into building products suitable for building retaining walls, permeable and sealed roads and hardstands, erosion control systems and concrete slabs.

Ecoflex technology recognises that a waste tyre has valuable structural and related engineering properties. The technology is based on creating a robust, adaptable structural container from quality controlled used tyres. When the engineered container, an Ecoflex unit, is filled with crushed rock, gravel, sand or recycled concrete, it forms a structural building module. These units are combined to form a cellular structure suitable to perform a range of engineering functions in accordance with engineering standards, specifications and buildings codes.

The Australian Environmental Labelling Association Inc manages the Australian Ecolabel program and is an independent organisation recognised as the Australian member of an international network of ecolabelling schemes. The program is supported by Environmental Business Australia - the peak environmental industry organisation in Australia and a wide range of environmental, scientific and government organisations.
