Heat losses and gains occur as trucks move between the differing climates of Australia and the need to keep a constant cold temperature.
Where trucks have chilled containers, additional fuel is required to keep containers at set temperatures, while closely monitoring the refrigeration required. As fuel prices continue to rise, so do cost.
A simple answer is to use R 3.52 rated Thermilate paint additive, which is available from Eco Living Centre .
Thermilate, available from Eco Living Centre, can significantly reduce the temperature in a container, often by 100°C or more.
Independent testing confirms the NASA space shuttle developed nanotechnology prevents heat passing through. It also stops UV and helps prevent condensation build-up (less temperature differential between solid wall and ambient air).
The use of a patented nanotechnology forms 90 micron ceramic vacuum spheres. Heat cannot move through a vacuum and Thermilate acts as a heat shield.
Thermilate can be simply added to the paint finish or undercoat. It can be applied by paint, roller or spray. Thermilate is completely non-toxic and coverage is 100g per 1L of paint, or 5L of paint (one coat) for a 20’ container (all sides).
Benefits
Easy to apply with immediate fuel and monitoring benefits of a cooler container in summer as the Thermilate barrier stops heat transfer and condensation build-up.
Thermilate is a cost effective approach to saving fuel costs, while maintaining high standards of service to the customers. Consumer and trade size packs are available.
