The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer is a breakthrough in hand dryer technology. Launched in March 2008, the Airblade received its first Australian New Product award in April at Designex.

A high speed sheet of unheated air travelling at 640kph wipes water from hands, leaving them completely dry in just 10 seconds!

It’s hygienic

Unlike warm air hand dryers that draw in and blow out bacteria laden air, the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer purifies the air to remove 99.9% of bacteria before blowing it onto hands; so freshly washed hands remain so.

It’s energy efficient

Powered by Dyson’s digital motor the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer uses up to 80% less energy than warm air hand dryers, offering significant savings in running costs.

It’s environmentally friendly

Made with recyclable aluminum casing, Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers offer a cost efficient, sustainable alternative to the manufacture, transportation and maintenance of paper towels; helping reduce consumption of a valuable environmental resource.

Research and Development

Every year Dyson re-invests half of its profits into developing new ideas. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer was one of these. It has undergone extensive biological and scientific testing by Dyson’s in-house microbiologists, as well as independent testing conducted by Leeds University and Bradford University.
