Tuff-R Insulation
Versatile Tuff-R insulation fits numerous residential/commercial insulation and sheathing requirements and can be easily applied to a variety of substrates.
- Tuff-R features a high performance polyisocyanurate foam core with radiant barrier quality aluminum foil facers on both sides, one side reinforced
- Air cannot penetrate the facers, which also minimises water and water vapour intrusion into the foam insulation core
- This allows the foam R-Value to stabilise at a higher value, minimising temperature fluctuations in all weather conditions
- The Tuff-R polyisocyanurate insulation is created by an exclusive free rise manufacturing process, which produce a uniform, closed cell foam for better insulation performance
Tuff-R Insulation and Sheathing Benefits
- On cavity wall installations, it fits perfectly with the work flow. Brickies don’t need any other tool than a trowel. Only one reflective cavity required.
- High density non-porous foam means very low water absorption, giving long term R-values in very thin solutions. Find out how we can achieve total R3.2 in less than 100mm of added product.
- Rigid board reduces the amount of labour required during installation. Jobs are neater and easier for following trades to penetrate
- If left exposed the product meets AS 3837, Group Class 1. It is then ready for hand over and fit out by the tenants.
- No need to rely on reflective cavities to give 95% of the insulation values
- Complies to the new AS4859, Amendment 1. Required for projects starting May 2009
