Dux Hot Water’s new range of environmentally friendly hot water systems has been highly commended at the NSW Government’s 2004 Energy and Water Green Globe Awards.
Dux was recognised for its efforts in raising consumer awareness of household energy efficiency and the benefits of using energy efficient products.
The Live Energy Smart Brand Champion recognises the Energy Smart product partner who demonstrates the greatest commitment to the Live Energy Smart campaign, run by the NSW Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability.
New South Wales Minister for Energy and Utilities, Frank Sartor, presented a certificate of commendation to Dux Hot Water at a ceremony in the State’s Parliament House.
Dux Hot Water became a partner in the campaign in February 2004, and has invested heavily in the development of environmentally friendly hot water systems over the last 18 months, launching five new products which have received the endorsement of the Energy Smart logo.
These are the SunPro electric boosted and gas boosted solar systems, the Endurance instantaneous system, Prodigy five star rated gas system and the HeatPro heat pump system.
“This commendation is great encouragement to the team at Dux Hot Water, which has worked very hard to develop the environmental range of our products,” said the general manager of Dux Hot Water, Les Patterson.
Tests according to Australian standards show that the latest Dux SunPro solar gas continuous system can provide up to an 80 per cent saving on annual water heating costs.
Homeowners and renovators replacing electric hot water systems with either Dux SunPro gas or electric-boosted solar systems and HeatPro Heat Pump could be eligible to receive financial incentives through the Federal Government’s Renewable Energy Certificate System.
A Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) is a new form of ‘currency’ that signifies a certain amount of greenhouse gas reduction and can be traded for money.
