The winner of the sought after Dulux National Accredited Painter of the Year Award was announced in Melbourne at the ninth Dulux Accredited Annual Conference. 2011 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Dulux Accredited Program.  

The proud winner, Clayton Coughlan, from Wet-Painting in Bracken Ridge, was also the State Category winner of the 2011 Dulux Accredited Painter of the Year Award for Queensland.  As dual award winner Mr Coughlin walked away with 1.5 million Trade Card Reward points to utilize in his business.    

In order to win the Dulux National Accredited Painter of the Year Award Clayton’s entry was judged in the categories of:  

  • Customer service;
  • Initiatives in sales, marketing and advertising;
  • Financial management;
  • Improvement of productivity;
  • Health and Safety practice; and
  • Consideration of the environment.  
Competition was particularly fierce this year according to Dulux Accredited Program Manager, Colleen Jeffery-Court.  She says that submissions for 2011 were among the best they had ever received  “These nominees are the best of the best in the industry across the entire business operations, and the 2011 submissions reflected the high standards we look for.”  

Colleen offered her congratulations to Clayton, applauding him as a worthy winner across both categories, she said “we hope these awards help bring him and his team further success, recognition of excellence and business growth.”
