The Dulux Colour Awards acknowledge and applaud exceptional colour application and use amongst Australian architects and interior designers.
The 24th Dulux Colour Awards in 2010 will broaden its brushstroke to include design professionals practicing in and from New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.
Dulux spokesperson Andrea Lucena-Orr, regards this move as just one of several ways in which the Awards continue to refresh and reinvent itself. The expansion will also offer participants and judges the chance to compare colour differences and/or parallels between countries.
Dulux is confident the international move will be embraced by interior designers and architects, who continue to regard the Awards as actively leading the industry forward.
The Dulux Colour Awards categories include Sustainable Interiors, Commercial Interior and Exterior, Residential Interior and Exterior, Students years 1-6 and the crowing Grand Prix.
As in previous years, each category winner will enjoy a prized trophy and a cash prize. As part of Dulux’s sponsorship of Interior Designer Awards, Colour in Commercial Interior Design and Colour in Residential Interior Design, DCA finalists will be automatically entered into the Interior Designer Awards free of charge and all finalist projects will be displayed at designEX.
The winner of the Grand Prix be given the opportunity to attend 100% Design Toyko, joining some of the design industry’s most admired and respected professionals, be able to showcase their work to an exclusive gathering as part of the 2010 designEX VIP Breakfast, before joining all other category winners at a network luncheon hosted by Dulux.
2010 entrants will be short-listed by a panel of internal judges led by Andrea Lucena-Orr before being reviewed by a trio of highly admired and acclaimed guest judges.
Expression of interest in the 2010 Dulux Colour Awards are available online, with submissions due by Friday 19th February 2010 and the Gala Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday 31st March 2010.
