Powder coating primers from Dulux

Dulux E-Prime powder coating
Powder coating is an effective way to achieve an attractive, durable finish. With a array of colours to choose from, powder coating can take your next commercial project to a new level.
But to ensure maximum durability of the finish, a little groundwork would not go astray.
For metal surfaces such as steel and hot-dipped galvanised (HDG) steel, the first step is to prime, prior to powder coating. This will give the metal substrate additional protection, improving both the surface corrosion resistance as well as the topcoat’s final appearance.
Where the surface of the steel has been pitted due to mill scale (an oxide formed by hot rolling) or from sandblasting, priming can help to level the surface prior to a topcoat being applied.
Dulux E-Prime powder coating has been formulated to penetrate crevices and is the ideal primer for sharp profile/edges or complex metal shapes. It can be used as a sandable filler for small surface imperfections and to provide additional film thickness for improved corrosion protection.
Zincshield 2 is a zinc-rich epoxy powder coating specifically designed to inhibit rust, with strong intercoat adhesion properties. Comprising 60% zinc dust, Zincshield 2 is ideal for areas subject to high corrosion including marine and industrial environments.
