Dulux Powder Coatings for Melbourne Showgrounds

The 19-hectare site has several heritage-listed buildings and numerous indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, all of which were in need of a 21st century makeover.

Following a $108m redevelopment, the Melbourne Showgrounds have been transformed into a world class venue, with some 60,000 square metres of exhibition space across 15 revamped pavilions, featuring the Grand Pavilion at its centre with its strikingly remodelled big top roof.

Both the older structures and the heritage-listed buildings within the Melbourne Showgrounds needed an exterior powder coating treatment that delivered beauty and protection. Using Dulux Duratec powder coating ensured that the buildings received both the updated look and the durable surface coating needed.

Since its launch in 1988, Duratec powder coating has been used to enhance the looks and longevity of some of Australia’s prestigious residential and commercial developments. One of Duratec powder coating is suitable for use in both coastal and inland locations.

Dulux Duratec powder coating was used on most of the buildings within the Melbourne Showgrounds, including Centenary Hall, the Horse Pavilion, RASV Centre and the immense Grand Pavilion.
