Entries open for Dulux Colour Awards 2009

Dulux Australia  are in their 23rd consecutive year and the entries for Dulux Colour Awards 2009 are open. The Dulux Colour Awards (DCA) have achieved a status as a channel for creating and showcasing inspiring and thoughtful applications of colour in design.

Dulux Australia encourage the architects and interior designers to show their colour touch in the Dulux Colour Awards 2009 programme.

The awards have attracted design professionals from Australia, including John Wardle, McBride Charles Ryan, Kerstin Thompson, Nonda Katsalidis and the recent ‘08 Grand Prix winner, the Carr Design Group.

Dulux Australia understands the importance of nurturing a respectful and creative attitude towards colour and the DCA tertiary category is an opportunity for developing specifiers to show their colour touch.

The 2009 DCA Grand Prix winner will enjoy a return business class airfare and accommodation to Paris for the Maison-Objet exhibition and also a cash prize. The Grand Prix winner will also be offered an opportunity to design the colour scheme of the Bookshop feature at designEX 2010 in Sydney. Winners of the Commercial Interior, Commercial Exterior, Residential Interior, Residential Exterior and Sustainable Interior categories will receive trophies and cash prizes and the student specifier winner will win a trophy and a cash prize.

Dulux Australia sponsors the Interior Designer Awards Colour in Commercial Interior Design and Colour in Residential Interior Design Awards. So, the DCA entries will automatically enter into the Interior Designer Awards free of charge and all finalist projects will displayed at designEX.

The submissions for Dulux Colour Awards 2009 will be reviewed by an internal Dulux judging panel. An external panel of representatives will be announced shortly.

The Dulux Colour Awards entrants must submit a project description, colour boards including colour swatches and digital imagery. The entry forms can be downloaded and used from the web portal of Dulux Australia.
