Construction keying
Doric Products has introduced a range of pin cylinders with a construction keying function for its range of door locks. Around for some time now, construction keying has been mainly used on commercial projects - however Doric is now making it available on residential doors.
The benefits of construction keying are that it offers ultimate security for the end user, with easy access for trades while the project is under construction and without the added expense of changing the cylinders on site before handover, or having a locksmith involved.
The Doric construction keyed cylinder can be fitted to the patio door and security door in the factory as normal. A set of construction keys is given to the builder enabling access of trades to the site. At handover, a second set of keys is given to the homeowner, which, once used, will block entry access to the original construction keys.
In order to provide a total package to builders, Doric has joined forces with Lane Security Hardware to make this construction keying facility available on all entry locks, patio doors, security doors, French doors, and locks on timber entry doors such as deadbolts and key in knob entry locks.
