Engineered stone sinks now on tap
GWA International, supplier of fixtures and fittings to households and commercial premises, has achieved a significant coup through its subsidiary, Dorf Clark Industries i n signing an exclusive distribution agreement to market the Schock range of engineered stone sinks in Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Schorndorf in southern Germany, Schock is the world’s leading producer of stone composite sinks. Stone composite sinks are becoming increasingly popular in Europe and North America driven by the success of solid surface kitchen bench tops (granite, marble, stone composite). Synthetic sinks have achieved a significant share of the European market, achieving a 40 percent share of the French market.
Schock is the first company in the world to develop Cristalite sinks, licensing its technology to leading companies around the world and complementing Dorf Clark’s market leading stainless sinks in Australia.
David Duncan, general manager of Dorf Clark Industries, says: “The distribution agreement means that we can capitalize on the popularity of engineered stone and granite in the renovation market in Australia,” says David Duncan, general manager of Dorf Clark Industries. “The Schock products, will complement the increasing use of natural and engineered stone in kitchens across Australia, the fastest growing material used in kitchen renovations.”
