Doorways Pty Ltd  is the sole Australasian distributor for Gilgen Door Systems of Switzerland.

The fully Australian owned company is combining its metal sections with the internationally renowned Gilgen drive equipment and specialised systems to drive its growth in the automatic doors industry. Gilgen drive units provide maximum operating efficiency and long service life with heavily reduced service costs when compared to other major brands in Australia.

Doorways’ door systems will address the problems caused by locally constructed aluminium and frameless glass shopfronts/ automatic doors that have been designed with little consideration for energy efficiency, impregnation of weather elements or vermin and insect intrusion.

The upcoming Future Build show will see Doorways exhibit two door systems that address these issues through cost-effective alternatives.

SLXM-PSXP door systems

The SLXM-PSXP door system consists of the SLXM drive and PSXP framing. The SLXM drive is a 140mm drive unit capable of operating 2 x 150kg door leaves with a high level of speed and safety, and low energy consumption. The PSXP framing is a framing system with 40mm vertical profile incorporating interlocked door leaves and fixed panels when in closed position for security and sealing.

All panels are double glazed and all door leaves are sealed for energy efficiency and sound insulation as well as to prevent unwanted intrusion of elements and pests. Double glazing also allows for full width door opening without finger traps to meet with AS5007-2007 requirements.

SLA-PSA door systems

The SLA drive unit is a 140mm drive unit capable of operating 2 x 120kg door leaves with a high level of speed and safety, and low energy consumption. The PSA framing system features a slimline 30mm vertical profile incorporating interlocked door leaves when in closed position for security and sealing.

The system also incorporates face glazing for full width opening without finger traps to meet with AS5007-2007 requirements, as well as perimeter sealing for energy efficiency and to prevent unwanted intrusion of elements and pests.

Doorways Pty Ltd will also be showcasing their unique Gilgen STW automated operable wall systems with slide/stack leaves to open up large areas such as boardrooms, bank foyers and entertaining areas, with automated personal access for day-to-day and after hours use.
