Liquid skin
In industrial, architectural and building applications the new range of Envelon polymeric coatings from Dominion Plastics can achieve an effective proofing and insulation against weather, dust, water, acid, alkalis and gas.
Envelon polymeric coatings are opaque - they can be pigmented to a desired colour - and are used to protect and beautify roofs and sidewalks of masonry, concrete projects, steel or brick buildings and structures, tanks, storage bins and general industrial equipment.
Protection is provided in two ways: firstly Envelon coatings form tough and flexible films with very low water vapour transmission rates while stopping substrate corrosion while the thick film protects against surface damage from abrasion and chemicals. This continuous all-over skin can completely envelope a structure to seal out moisture, caulk around openings and fill and cover cracks. It does not weather away or peel and flake as the films are flexible and elastic in a temperature range from sub zero to tropical.
Because Envelon is a liquid it is quickly and easily applied with a spray gun and needs no overcoat. Bending, hammering, scratching or stretching can be inflicted onto the Envelon coating yet it will remain waterproof whether the application is above or below ground.
