Green Building Council joins Designbuild team
Diversified Exhibitions Australia has announced that the Green Building Council will be a supporting association for the 2007 Designbuild Expos in Sydney and Perth.
Commenting on the agreement, Exhibition Director Bill Hare said, “We are very excited that the Green Building Council have agreed to lend their support and provide assistance with the Green Building Seminars and Green Building Exhibitor Zone. We are looking forward to working with them to further develop our vision for Australasia’s largest building and design expo.”
This year’s Designbuild Expo will have a major focus on sustainability and green building with a new ‘Green Building Zone’ on the show floor making it easier for visitors to source the latest in green building products and a comprehensive seminar program themed ‘Green Building’.
“We are working with the Green Building Council, the Australian Architecture Association and BCI Australia to identify leading edge Australian and international practitioners of environmentally sustainable architecture, design, building and construction to bring to the Designbuild seminars,” Hare said.
The seminars will culminate in a special series of activities on World Environment Day.
The Green Building Council is the latest addition to the list of pre-eminent associations supporting Designbuild, including: Master Builders Association of NSW, CEDIA, Green Plumbers, Building Designers Association of NSW, Australian Architecture Association, Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia, Master Plumbers and Mechanical Contractors Association of NSW, Australian Stone Advisory Association, and the National Precast Concrete Association.
