Designbuild has it all under one roof
Designbuild (formerly Interbuild) Australia’s premier event for the building and design industries “…will be the largest and best yet,” according to organisers Australian Exhibition Services . “It will feature more exhibitors, more visitors, more features and more co-located industry events than ever before,” said Exhibition Director, Bill Hare.
This trade-only event will feature over 350 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 16,000 specifiers, buyers and key decision makers who come to keep abreast of the latest product releases and technology for residential, commercial and industrial construction. “Visitor research from the last show in Sydney revealed that a staggering 93% of visitors discovered new products/technologies at the show proving that Designbuild really is the hothouse of new ideas and the “must see” event for the whole industry,” said Bill Hare.
RAIA National Conference
The Royal Australian Institute of Architects National Conference, the most important event on the architectural calendar is now staged exclusively alongside Designbuild, affording both architects and exhibitors unprecedented opportunities to make key connections and meet face-to-face.
The President of the RAIA, speaking at the awards night in Melbourne in June 2002 said, “The relationship between the manufacturers and suppliers of building materials and services and architects is of particular importance and Designbuild has proven to be the perfect forum for those relationships to be developed.”
The conference “Imagining Architecture” will feature keynote speakers who have sought to give expression to exceptional ideas include Christian Sumi from Switzerland, Wes Jones (USA), Chris Kelly (NZ), Inaki Abalos (Spain), Waro Kishi (Japan), Adam Caruso (UK), Sean Godsell (Australia) and Rick Joy (USA).
The conference will have The Sprawling Void as its focal point in the centre of the expo, which will host presentations by the international Conference speakers and show information on new products, award winning buildings and the latest in contemporary designs on a huge screen
Exhibitors will benefit from a wider audience with a significant number of architects attending the conference and then networking in the centre of Australia’s premier building and design exhibition.
