DecoWood curved aluminium slats from Decorative Imaging were recently installed at Liverpool Library during its recent renovations. The DecoWood slats were used along one side of the entrance as a screen to conceal the control and emergency panels.
The DecoWood aluminium slats were finished in the smooth Bush Cherry coating, before being curved into arcs with a nine metre radius. The effect was wave-like, as the concave and convex arcs were alternated.
DecoWood timber finishing technology allows pieces of aluminium to be curved after coating to a maximum of 90 degrees, without the image of wood grain being distorted.
The frame was made by Nepean Engineering, and finished in Precious Silver Pearl powder coating.
