With the launch of Davco Construction Material s’ SMP 2010 applicators now have an reinforced adhesive specifically designed for high quality porcelain, stone and marble installations.
A white, premium grade, polymer fortified and reinforced adhesive, SMP 2010 can be used where tiles are laid onto concrete, cement renders/screeds, blockwork, rendered brickwork and waterproofing membranes as well as for fixing wall tiles onto flexible building boards such as fibre cement sheets and plasterboard.
“Our market research showed there was a need for an adhesive that provides high bond strength combined with excellent adhesion to all types of porous and non-porous tiles and stone,” says Andrew Nunn, Davco’s business manager. “Because it is reinforced, SMP 2010 has much lower shrinkage than other cement-based adhesive systems. Lower shrinkage is required for natural stones as they are more prone to shrinkage and/or expansion than ceramic tiles.
“Applicators will appreciate another major benefit - its long respositioning. This is a major feature of the new adhesive and will be particularly handy on difficult or awkward projects that may require adjustment to get it right.”
