DTAC offer extruded, solid 316 Marine Grade stainless steel tactile indicators that are manufactured by CNC turning method and completed to a mill finish. A Certificate of Origin from the tactile indicator manufacturer is offered by DTAC.
The DTAC tactile indicator product or equivalent is supplied with official test results for luminance contrast and slip resistance, in accordance with Australian Standard HB 197:(1999) and AS/NZS 1428.4 (2002). For authenticity, the tests for slip resistance are conducted by a NATA approved laboratory and testing is undertaken for each individual product includes the extent of its intended use.
The tests for each individual product will include at a minimum:
- Wet Pendulum Test Appendix A AS/NZS 4586-2004
- Wet/Barefoot Ramp Test Appendix C AS/NZS 4586-2004
- Oil/Wet Ramp Test Ramp Appendix D AS/NZS 4586-2004
The products are tested for luminance following Luminance Appendix F AS/NZS 1428.4 (2002). Results and proof of luminance compliance are submitted for each surface to ensure that the correct tactile indicator is specified for the applicable substrate/surface when installed.
DTAC provide a demonstration sample/s of the product/s to be installed into the finished substrate/surface with the correct application method.
