Concrib provide design/construct service for stepped gabion weir at Pacific Pines

Stepped Gabion weir
Hydraulic structures designed to cope with flood events need to be well engineered and well constructed, in particular where gabion and rock-mattress elements are used.
Gabions are suitable for weirs, drop structures, culvert outfalls and wingwalls by providing a monolithic, yet permeable and flexible structure that allows pore pressure dissipation and handles unexpected differential movements if design parameters are exceeded.
Concrib were able to provide their client with a design/construct service to facilitate the construction of the stepped gabion weir that was built to withstand a Q100 event.
