CompAir , manufacturers of compressed air and gas systems, are now becoming a part of the US based Gardner Denver Group. The strategic acquisition of CompAir by Gardner Denver (New York stock exchange listed) will help CompAir Australasia locally, to gain access to an enhanced product range to complement their range of compressors and aftermarket services.
According to the Managing Director, Gary Woodhead, while CompAir already have a major presence in the Australian market, the addition of Gardner Denver as their parent will provide another platform for growth for the industries and customers they serve.
He said that Gardner Denver would enable CompAir to boost their competitiveness on the Australasian market and provide enhanced services to clients. Gary Woodhead further expressed that CompAir’s financial performance, geographical spread and access to their Quantima compressor technology had prompted the Gardner Denver interest in the company.
Quantima’s compression assembly has only one moving part spinning in a magnetic field, providing reduced energy consumption and improved environmental performance. It is compact and quieter than comparable compressors, and provides variable speed operations without a gearbox or oil.
Gary Woodhead said that by blending the complementary product lines and geographical reach of CompAir and Gardner Denver, the combined business is now well positioned to take advantage of future growth opportunities for its products, services and people.
Gary Woodhead said that there will be greater opportunities for the business to grow through joint enterprise techniques and to capture integration synergies, and customers will benefit from a greater product range and economies of scale.
