How to choose a commercial roofing company for your business

Commercial roof restoration and repair

When choosing a commercial roofing company, it is important to choose a company that is qualified and trustworthy.

While many business owners focus on seeking the lowest price or easiest fix for their commercial roof replacement or repair, it would be wise to incorporate a more comprehensive list of criteria.

There are many commercial industrial roofing companies to choose from but there are several attributes that will set the best apart from all the rest including their experience, affiliations and licenses, reputation and the quality of their work.

Just as with any business, choosing the best company for commercial roofing needs can be at bit intimidating but with a little time and research this process can be made easier.

While there is no definite way to choose a commercial roofing company, these factors can assist in the process.

The company has to an established one, both physically and according to years in business. Being established shows that the roofing company is serious about its business and having a physical address shows that they are committed for the long haul.

The company should also be licensed, insured and a member of associations within its industry. A company should not be allowed to begin construction or repair on the roof if it is not properly licensed and insured.

If a commercial roofing company is not licensed, then there is a pretty good chance that its work will be sketchy and if it is not insured, limited recourse will be available if problems arise. Being a member of associations shows a demonstrated effort to stay abreast of the new technology and developments in the field and helps to build the company’s reputation.

Any reputable roofing company should have a portfolio and/or references. With the availability of modern technology many companies provide online references and portfolios but a written list or pamphlet should do the trick just as well.

Take the initiative to call upon some of the references listed and ask what work they had completed and if they were satisfied. Not only an insight will be gained into the prospective commercial roofing company’s expertise but some unnecessary anxiety could be eliminated.

Commercial Roofing is licensed and properly trained to provide quality commercial roof restoration and commercial roof repair.

Insultec heat reflective paints used on roof systems Insultec heat reflective paints available from Commercial Roofing (3-Nov-2008)
Leaving a roof exposed to the elements is simply asking for trouble. If a heat reflective paint has not been used, then the average temperature of the roof during the summer might easily exceed 100 degrees. If the roof is hot, then so is the building and this can lead to a strong and expensive dependence on cooling agents like air conditioning. Having a proper protective membrane or coating on the roof like Insultec, can keep the building cool and the energy costs low. Insultec heat reflective paints are available from Commercial Roofing.
