Under timber heating foils, available from Comfort Heat Australia , are thin heating elements for dry installations, ideal for floating timber floors.
The timber heating foil consists of double insulated heating cables woven into textile webbing with an aluminium foil attached to one surface, which ensures even heat distribution.
The under timber heating foil is installed directly beneath the floating floor. Under timber foils have a nominal heat output of 150W/m² and are available in predetermined lengths with cold tails.
The foil is controlled by thermostats using under floor sensors, so the floor temperature under the timber floor does not exceed 27°C.
