Despite economic uncertainty, demand for water treatment and recycling solutions in the commercial and industrial sector remains strong for Australian design and manufacturing experts, Clearmake .

Recent government requirement on business to reduce water consumption and increasing demands from the EPA on discharge water quality have driven demand for rainwater harvesting, water treatment and water recycling systems for local business, industry and government projects.

Clearmake has enjoyed a successful 2008 and is experiencing a strong start to 2009 with several contracts signed for work Australia wide over the next 12-18 months. The company remains committed to providing all customers and end users with quality and experience in the area of industrial water treatment. To meet these growing demands and maintain customer service levels, Clearmake continues to recruit talented new team members and further develop the skill set within the business.

In recent weeks Clearmake has welcomed two highly experienced industrial electricians to the team, Mick O’Hagan and Carl Schmidt. Brett Chalk has also joined the team in Purchasing and Logistics. And Andrew McPherson steps in as National Engineering and Operations Manager. Having relocated to the Sunshine Coast from Melbourne, Andrew holds a Masters Degree in Technology (Engineering and Management) and brings to Clearmake extensive engineering and general management experience.

“We are facing interesting times in business today, but the future remains bright. A down turn in the economy and delays with capital expenditure late last year allowed us to take more time to work on the development of the business. We’ve made a number of changes, including the recruitment of several new team members. And one thing for sure is that we’ve found some exceptional talent as a result. It may not have been as easy to attract candidates of such a high calibre 12 months ago. These improvements have certainly positioned us well in the market and sales activity is again on the rise. We’re partnering on a number of projects that will continue for at least the next 12 – 18 months. If demand continues to grow, we’ll need to recruit further, which is tremendous for Clearmake and the Sunshine Coast community”. says Clearmake Managing Director, David Lumb.

Clearmake helps business, industry and government to save water and reduce their impact on our precious water resources and environment.
