The Loom Chair is an award winning result of designer Franco Poli’s three year project with Matteograssi, which sought to develop new ways of presenting coach hide leather that push the boundaries of furniture design.
Features of Franco Poli's Loom Chairs
Using a laser guided, high frequency machine to accurately cut the expansion slits at the right locations and angles into a thick sheet of coach hide leather, a three dimensional recessed area is formed.
This provides a fabric like feel, due to its ventilation and ergonomic properties. This net of coach hide adapts to the human shape with controlled elasticity and visual transparency which is used to create a stylish, relaxing and innovative lounge chair.

The latest Mateograssi launch in Milan introduced the ARETÈ dining and lounge chairs, which features more of a multi purpose practicality than the Loom, yet keeps its elegance and form.
