Centor Architectural recently launched a new two-in-one retractable screen system that includes both screen and cloth options to provide privacy, temperature control and sun protection when needed, before disappearing into the door frame when not in use.
Centor’s retractable screen system won major awards for innovation in 2008. The S1E retractable screen system provides a fully retractable thermal blind, which offers homeowners an alternative form of temperature control that will save them money.
Centor Managing Director, Nigel Spork, said specifiers will be able to use the Centor retractable screen system on large windows and doors to make the most of natural light, provide sun protection, control heat gain during summer and reduce heat loss in winter, reducing reliance on heating and cooling systems.
The S1E retractable screen system can be positioned either completely out of sight or extended for privacy, shade or insect protection. The S1E retractable screen system can also be used as a projector screen.
Durable and resistant for everyday use, the S1E retractable screen system is available in two models – privacy and shade – with each option available in six colours. The S1E retractable screen system allows for a choice of opening positions, and the frames are available in custom colours or real wood veneers.
Features of the S1E retractable screen system include:
- Tight Technology to maintain mesh and blind tension and eliminate sagging across the widest spans
- Shock Absorption to allow visitors mistaken by the screen’s near invisibility to walk away without damaging themselves or the screen
- A self-feeding mechanism that ensures the mesh or blind will self-feed into the roll should strong winds dislodge the screen out of the top or bottom channels.
- Load Balancing Technology for effortless operation with fingertip control and no need for locks or latches
Centor’s S1E retractable screen system can be used to protect any architectural opening up to three metres high and 7.4 metres wide, in either screen or blind material only. The S1E retractable screen system combinations are suitable for windows and doors up to three metres high and 3.7 metres wide.
