Fastlane plus speedgate system
Fastlane plus speedgate system

Centaman Systems  have introduced the new Fastlane plus speedgate system. This pedestrian speedgate combines Fastlane’s intelligence, speed, accuracy and ¼” tailgater detection with fast acting drop arm barriers for a discreet, sleek visual security deterrent.

Unlike other speedgate systems, Fastlane plus provides this maximum protection while maintaining the streamlined profile it is known for, avoiding the need for extremely wide or long enclosures.

With pedestals that are only 16cm wide and less than a metre long, Fastlane plus blends into the fabric of attractive high rise, government and headquarter lobbies, eliminating the mass transit look and feel that others convey.

At the company’s new product launch, Centaman Systems Head of Entrance Control, Michael Bystram, stated, “What we are accomplishing with Fastlane plus is really significant. Lots of building owners want to retrofit security gates into their building but with most other systems it’s just not possible due to the size of the pedestal foot print.”

“Fastlane plus is about a ¼ of the size of most speedgates and yet it provides incredible throughput and security performance.”

“The size of the pedestal makes it ideal for areas where there are space constraints, such as lift lobbies and smaller building receptions.”

Regarding safety features, Fastlane plus is ideal in providing breakaway barriers, a significant advantage in minimising liability and emergency egress concerns for owners.

The Fastlane plus speedgate system also integrates with fire alarm systems so that in an emergency the barriers automatically open in the exit direction for free egress.

Safety beams monitor the area near the barrier, designed to avoid human contact with the gate. Fastlane plus can utilise the same slim pedestal for standard lanes as well as wider lanes for wheelchair access.

Fastlane plus is an important addition to the Fastlane brand, which consists of the Fastlane Glassgate and Glasswing speedgates, the Fastlane optical turnstile line (ideal for slightly lower security situations), and the Fastlane Door Detective for doorway tailgate detection.
