Entries open for CCAA’s 2009 Public Domain Awards

Entries are now being accepted for the
Cement Concrete and Aggregates Australia ’s (CCAA) 2009 Public Domain Awards, Australia’s pre-eminent awards for the innovative use of concrete to enhance the urban landscape.
These biennial Awards recognise outstanding and innovative projects that feature concrete in any of the following seven categories - streets, paths, precincts, walls, bridges, public artworks and sustainable design.
One project is also named the overall national winner and the best project from each State/Territory is also acknowledged.
Past national winning projects include the Luciano Rossetti Mausoleum in Melbourne (2007), the National Emergency Services Memorial in Canberra (2005) and the public precinct of the Museum of Australia in Canberra (2003).
Nominations for the 2009 Awards close on March 31, 2009. Projects can be entered by anyone involved in the project, including the architect, engineer, contractor or asset owner.
To be eligible, nominated projects must have been completed between June 1 2007 and April 1 2009.
