The Architects have chosen to have the Western Red Cedar Shiplap on this project slowly turn to a silver effect over time, this they have done by coating the Western Red Cedar Shiplap, in a Pigmented coating.
A broad awning runs the length of one side of the home, dropping vertically at each end. Western Red Cedar Shiplap runs width ways as the inside lining of the awning, the depth of the Cedar grain making a pleasant view for those inside the glass windows and for the family members relaxing or playing in the courtyard below.
As seen in this project recently completed, Western Red Cedar makes good cladding, panelling and lining material.
