CHINESE and European construction equipment manufacturers have signed on to exhibit at ConExpo Asia 2006, joining the North American equipment manufacturers. The exhibition will showcase manufacturers of equipment, products and services related to the construction industry in China and the Asia-Pacific region. Among the Chinese and European exhibitors signing up recently are Atlas Copco , Foton Heavy Machinery, Sandvik , Shaanxi Construction Machinery, XCMG (Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group) and Zoomlion.
Also exhibiting are companies such as Astec, Case Construction Machinery , Caterpillar , Cummins Engine Company, Ditch Witch, Gator Machinery, Gomaco, Ingersoll Rand-Bobcat, JLG Industries-Gradall, Manitowoc Crane Group-Grove-Potain , Terex-Genie and Vermeer Manufacturing. To provide additional value to attendees, ConExpo Asia 2006 will also feature an educational program and live equipment demonstrations to complement the exhibits. ConExpo Asia 2006 will be held May 15-18, 2006 at the China National Agricultural Exhibition Center in Beijing, China.
More than 30 educational sessions will be conducted, each offered in Chinese and English. Topics include new techniques in recycling of concrete, asphalt and other construction materials; distribution and rental issues; workforce management; road building technologies and opportunities; compaction applications; quality joints and density basics; construction software and machine automation; and construction project management, planning and scheduling.
Presenters include the Associated Equipment Distributors Foundation, the Kimmel School of Construction Management at Western Carolina University (North Carolina, US), the Transport Technology Exchange Center of China Academy of Transportation Sciences/ Ministry of Communication and the Construction Materials Recycling Association. Companies lending their expertise include Caterpillar, Case Construction, Ditch Witch, Potain, Shanghai Universal Equipment, Trimble Navigation, Topcon and Vermeer.
Equipment demonstrations will follow several of the seminars and will include skid steers, backhoe loaders, trenchers and trenchless machines. Attendees will be able to operate the machines to experience their capabilities.
