Water Resources and Jobs in Western Sydney Secured by Residential Toilet Replacement Service

The Caroma facility employs 300 people in Australia’s only remaining vitreous china toilet manufacturing operation, where a $50 million investment has been made to improve capability.

The Toilet Replacement Service can save homeowners up to $370 on the price of a fully installed 4-star Caroma Smartflush® toilet suite. The initiative not only provides an incentive to retrofit, but also makes it easier for homeowners to replace their old single flush toilets.

Single flush toilet suites are one of the biggest users of water inside the home and their replacement with 4.5/3L Smartflush® suites can save the average household up to 25,000L of water every year.

With over 740,000 single flush toilets in the Sydney area, up to 18 gigalitres could be saved every year by replacing these inefficient products with water-efficient 4.5/3L dual flush models.
