Eligible businesses will now be able to access funds to replace inefficient bathroom fixtures with more water efficient product solutions with the help of a new ACT Government initiative.
Caroma Dorf, a part of this initiative, offer a product range designed to meet the needs of most commercial buildings. With the non-residential building sector responsible for 20% of the total annual water use in the ACT, the ACT Government Commercial Retrofit Programme provides an incentive for owners of non-residential buildings to save water by upgrading their bathroom facilities.
The programme targets three key market segments including commercial buildings, pubs and clubs, and hotels and motels, providing these businesses with an attractive incentive to upgrade their fixtures. Audited buildings are eligible to receive a 50% rebate on the cost of water efficient bathroom fixtures.

The ACT Commercial Retrofit Programme has been in development since 2008, following extensive consultation with the business community and the plumbing industry. It follows a successful Residential Single Flush Toilet Replacement Pilot Programme, which has seen over 2300 single flush toilets replaced in the ACT. The success of the pilot programme has led to Stage 2 of the Residential Programme.
