CASE Construction has added the 721D XT tool carrier to its D Series wheel loader line. It features a new loader arm design for improved visibility, increased material retention and improved stability. At 14,300 kg and 137 kW, the new 721D XT is the largest tool carrier model in the Case range.
The operator’s line of sight to attachments has been improved through design changes.
These changes include low-profile routing of hoses to conform more closely to the loader arm, as well as the redesign of the attachment area to remove objects that previously impeded the view to the bucket and ACS quick coupler.
“Now, the operator has a clear view to the forks for easy pickup of pallets and loading of trucks,” says Ian Johnston, Case product manager. Visibility to the rear is better due to the sloping rear hood.
The new loader arm linkage design provides more bucket rollback for increased material retention – 58 degrees at ground-line for the 721D XT. For those customers who use four-in-one buckets or other attachments requiring hydraulic flow, auxiliary hydraulics are standard on all Case XT wheel loaders.
The 721D XT uses the 6.8 litre Case family III engine which features common rail fuel injection that provides dual power modes.
The 721D XT incorporates a mid-mount cooling module that prevents debris from plugging between coolers making it suitable for working in dusty conditions.
