CASE Construction Equipment has unveiled the 1850K and the 1150K crawler dozers. The 1850K is popular with customers including councils, while the 1150K is drawing keen interest from land clearing contractors in particular. The new models are Tier III compliant and feature more horsepower, along with the added convenience and ease of operation of electro hydraulic controls for both the powertrain and hydraulics. The 1850K includes a 184 net hp Case Family IV Engine on the long track configuration. The 1150K offers 118 net hp. The 1150K now has a hydrostatic transmission while the 1850K retains Case’s hydraulic variable PowerSteer, featuring differential steering with a three-speed power shift transmission to deliver maximum power to both tracks.

The oscillating undercarriage on both the 1850K and 1150K allows the tracks to follow the terrain regardless of the conditions. The undercarriage features segmented sprockets to simplify the replacement of individual segments and reduce equipment downtime and costs. Blade configurations include a six-way power-angle-tilt for both dozers and provide enhanced flexibility. The semi-U blade available on the 1850K configuration delivers maximum capacity and an outside push beam for reliable dozing in difficult ground conditions, while the straight power-tilt blade provides excellent balance in soft conditions. An equistatic compensator reduces stress on the blade and push beam for added durability and machine life.
